In John 13, Jesus does something so unexpected, so shocking that it has been remembered for generations. Jesus washes their feet. It was common courtesy to have your feet washed before a meal, but this act of love and service from Jesus was anything but common. Jesus shows us what love looks like, and what it means to become great by being the servant of all.
