Clark interviews his “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” co-star: actor, comedian, and podcast host Esther Povitsky (“Hot for my Name,” “Dollface,” “Alone Together”). Esther and Clark discuss their individual bonds with their parental figures, and growing up in their respective home towns. Esther discusses not fitting in at college and leaving before graduating to pursue a career in entertainment in Los Angeles. Clark asks Esther about being a successful woman in a male dominated industry. Esther admits she was treated differently as a female in the workplace, and revealed her ongoing journey with learning to be assertive. Esther discusses being drawn into the cult-like aspect of stand-up culture. Clark asks Esther about handling the highs and lows of show business, especially after her show “Alone Together” was cancelled after 2 seasons. Esther reveals the best advice she’s learned working in entertainment. Finally, Esther shares what is currently healing her mind, body and spirit—her Soul Balm.
