It’s always good on WFPC to visit with longtime friends.  Recently we had a chance to talk with Howard “Andy" Anderson, a long-time Pike County teacher and coach who had a dual career with the Army and Army Reserves.  Years ago I had the opportunity to speak with a couple of Andy’s social studies classes.  It didn’t take long to realize that he had a lot of real life stories to add color to his students lessons.  Some highlights of our recent discussion chronicled his beginnings on a farm in Cuzco, Indiana, the consolidation of Cuzco high school to Dubois, then on to Butler University to learn under Tony Hinkle, a transfer to Oakland City College and then his military career and coaching career that started in Francisco, stopped back home at Dubois, then Otwell and finally at Pike Central!
Here are some highlights of our conversation!
