Althea held her son accountable and cared a great deal about instilling exceptional character in him as a boy. When she saw her young son make mistakes, she not only held him accountable, she also looked inward to see how she could be a better momma. As a young mother she was constantly mindful of who was around her son. She surrounded Jay with great people who had strong character and exuded positivity.
Althea’s advice for mommas: Do not lose yourself. It is easy to lose yourself in motherhood, and it is also important to show your children who YOU are as a momma.
