Naaman was facing an incurable disease. He needed healed of leprosy. God
provided Naaman with a clear answer, promising that Naaman would be healed if he would only trust and obey. Yet, Naaman refused God’s answer for his own healing. Why? What is it about God’s ways that we as people are so quick to refuse? It’s not that they are hard. It’s not that God’s commands to us are unclear. It’s that His commands don’t make sense to us. That’s why we reject God’s answers When we don’t understand the reason behind God’s answer, we become like Naaman. We think, “Yes. God said to go and dip in the Jordan... but why?” And in our doubt and question of God’s Word, we reject God’s unmistakable, clear commands that lead to our healing.
