Today's episode of The Write Team Daily revisits September 4, 1886, when legendary Apache warrior Geronimo surrendered to U.S. forces at Skeleton Canyon. After years of resistance and one of the largest manhunts in American military history, Geronimo finally laid down his arms, symbolically ending armed Native American resistance in the American Southwest.
Then, revisit Thomas Edison's Pearl Street Station and the birth of modern electric power, George Eastman's introduction of Kodak, the incorporation of Google by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, and Kelly Clarkson becoming the first American Idol.
Plus, relive Kyle Busch's breakthrough NASCAR Cup Series victory, celebrate the birthday of Houston music icon Beyoncé, remember beloved wildlife conservationist Steve Irwin, and continue our “6:7” devotional journey with Deuteronomy 6:7 and the responsibility to pass faith from one generation to the next.
