Last time we looked at John’s first letter, we looked at the goal of the Christian life: fellowship with one another and fellowship with the Father and Son. And as verse 4 makes clear, this is the ONLY way human beings can have complete, soul-satisfying joy. So we will continue to look at this fellowship journey by examining 2 points this week and 2 next week: 1) Fellowship begins with God (v. 3-4) and 2) Fellowship requires walking with God (v. 6-7).
