Description

It’s Week 12 of the college football season, and most programs have just two weeks remaining in their regular season -- and, in many cases, one more game before Wivalwy Week (brought to you by Elmer Fudd). So that’s why we’re not winding down at #CnCShow Central -- we’re getting ready for the real fun to begin.

AJ returns to discuss the things that made him happy last weekend, the things that made him unhappy -- let’s get a better truck for the Pac-12, ESPN -- and, for the first time ever, delivers a live After Dark report.

For his part, Crappy continues to narrow his focus on the entire State Up North as his Buckeyes prepare to plunder Sparty this weekend. He was also impressed by Dartmouth; the Big Green handled Cornell’s Big Red last weekend on the way to a possible Ivy League championship. Cornell? Go beat rival Columbia -- it’ll make the offseason a lot better.

This Saturday’s games? It’s going to be fun, boys and girls.

No. 7 Michigan State at No. 4 Ohio State (noon Saturday, ABC)

Did you know that Ohio State’s defense is statistically better than Michigan State’s? Crappy didn’t either, and that’s helping his annual CFB anxiety.

No. 10 Wake Forest at Clemson (noon Saturday, ESPN)

Dabo’s actually feeling the disrespect this year, and for good reason: His Tigers can’t score. Know who can score? Wake.

Iowa State at No. 13 Oklahoma (Big Nude Saturday, Fox)

Are the swooning Sooners in danger of losing their last two regular season games? Probably not, but the pesky Cyclones aren’t the team you want to see while you’re trying to get well.

Virginia at No. 18 Pitt (3:30 Saturday, ESPN 2)

Let’s be up front here: Crappy and AJ would both watch the crap out of a Pitt-Wake ACC title game. Let’s make it happen, people.

SMU at No. 5 Cincinnati (3:30 Saturday, ESPN)

This would have been THE pivotal AAC game this year, until SMU lost a couple it shouldn’t have. Still, the Ponies prolific offense will present a challenge -- or an opportunity -- for the Bearcat defense.

No. 3 Oregon at No. 23 Utah (7:30 Saturday, ABC)

Crappy just wants someone to beat Oregon. And this Utah team will likely get two cracks at the Ducks.

The next time you see us, it’ll be Wivalwy Week. Crappy will already be pumped for the return of the greatest rivalry in all of sport, AJ will be pumped for a dozen different games … and it’s possible that we might have some extra help with the show. Enjoy the games this week, boys and girls, and we’ll see you back here next week.
