Description

Writer and Comedian Mark O’Connell presents his latest book ‘Catching Bullets – Memoirs of a Bond Fan’ which was featured at the Polari salon at the Southbank Centre on 28th January. Mark’s grandfather was a chauffeur for the producers of the Bond films. He tells us how he caught the ‘Bond bug’ and chats about the continuing fascination of James Bond and what it meant to be gay in the 1980s. You can keep up to date with Mark O’Connell on Twitter.

Jennifer Grant, Founder and Director of Diva Destinations, talks about the holidays and services her company offers for lesbians and the LGBT community. She says, it is less awkward to talk to a ‘fellow traveller’ about their needs rather than having to pretend to be ‘sisters’ or ‘brothers’ when actually being a same sex couple.
