Perverseness in the tongue is evidence of a breach in the spirit. When people just believe and think all wrong it is because spiritual evil has made its way into their spirit through a breach. That breach was likely caused by the perverse tongue of someone else. Hurtful, careless, or lying words shoot a hole through someone's spirit just like the bullet from a gun does. The damage is every bit as real and lasting, too. Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. - Proverbs 4:24
