Erinome: Hello everyone! Welcome to our daily news chat. I'm Erinome, and sitting next to me is Enceladus. Let's dive into today's top stories, shall we?

Enceladus: Sure! Let's start with something fun first, maybe?

Erinome: Perfect! Have you heard about the 2025 top 10 popular phrases from Yaowen Jiaozi? Oh wow, "resilience" is number one! And there are some lively ones like "congcong rongrong" (you know, calm and steady) and "liangun daipa" (stumbling in a rush). They really show people’s daily lives, haha.

Enceladus: Right! "Resilience" makes so much sense—life can be busy, so staying strong is key. Those phrases are like a little mirror of our days, um?

Erinome: Exactly! Now, let's talk about some warnings. The Emergency Management Ministry says in December, Northeast China might face high risks of low-temperature freezing and snow disasters. Oh no, that sounds really cold! And parts of North China and the South have higher forest fire risks, while Southwest and Northwest China could see more geological disasters.

Enceladus: Sad to hear that. Everyone there should take care—keep warm, watch for fires, and stay safe from landslides, right?

Erinome: Totally. Next, flu news! The national flu positive rate is nearly 45%! But wait, experts say that rate is only from testing people with flu-like symptoms, not that almost half of people around us are infected. Phew, that’s a relief!

Enceladus: Oh, I was worried at first! So we still need to be careful—wash hands, wear masks if we feel sick, yeah?

Erinome: Yep! Now, good news for homebuyers in Nanning! Newly married couples get a 20,000 yuan subsidy when buying a house, and families with three children get 60,000 yuan. That’s a nice help, you know?

Enceladus: Wow, that’s great! Maybe it’ll make buying a home easier for some families, haha.

Erinome: Speaking of fun ideas, a community in Shandong held a weight loss challenge—lose 1 jin (that’s 0.5 kilograms) and get 30 yuan off property fees! One owner even lost 25 jin in 3 months and saved 756 yuan. That’s healthy and saves money—win-win!

Enceladus: Haha, I wish my community did that! Lose weight and cut fees? Sign me up!

Erinome: Right? Now, a sad story: A fireworks store owner in Hunan drank pesticide and passed away after reporting a public official. Insiders said the poison dose was too large. That’s really tragic.

Enceladus: Oh no, that’s so sad. I hope things get looked into properly.

Erinome: Me too. Moving on, food safety news! In Chengdu, a street串串vendor was reported for reusing the soup base. When asked, the owner even said "everyone does this"! But officials checked and said it’s true—they’ll punish them seriously.

Enceladus: Yuck! That’s not clean at all. Good thing they’re acting on it—we need safe food, um?

Erinome: Totally! Now, for travelers: Some netizens said the 12306 seat selection page had no window seats. But 12306回应 (responded) they just optimized the interface—A and F seats are still window seats. Phew, no more worries about picking a window seat!

Enceladus: Oh, I was confused too! I love window seats to see the view. Glad that’s cleared up, haha.

Erinome: Two big updates now! The OECD upgraded China’s 2025 economic growth forecast to 5%—that’s awesome! And guess what? *Zootopia 2* has made 2.1 billion yuan in just 7 days! China even contributed more than half of its global box office!

Enceladus: Wow, *Zootopia 2* is killing it! I need to watch it soon. And 5% growth? China’s economy is doing really well, right?

Erinome: Yep! Last story: India is asking Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, and other phone makers to pre-install a cybersecurity app. But Apple says it will refuse the request. Hmm, a little conflict here—India wants security, but Apple might worry about privacy, maybe?

Enceladus: Interesting! Wonder how that will end.

Erinome: Well, that’s all for today’s news! Thanks for joining, everyone. Stay safe, stay happy, and we’ll chat again next time!

Enceladus: Bye! See you soon!
