Description

"The Neuroimmune Connectome in Health and Disease" explores the complex interactions between the nervous system and immune system, emphasizing the importance of these connections, known as the neuroimmune connectome, in health, disease development (especially neurodegenerative diseases), and behavior regulation. The article outlines current understanding of neuroimmune communication, including the central nervous system's response to immune signals and the impact of central nervous activity on immune function. Additionally, this review introduces the latest technologies for studying the neuroimmune connectome, and highlights challenges and open questions facing future research in this field, such as the influence of environmental factors and how neuroimmune information is stored and retrieved.
