My guest this week is Pastor and Comedian Dan Taylor. Dan also runs the Podcast Holy Sh*t. Dan shares his upbringing in a fundamentalist Christian family which drove him away from religion. He also shares how he found his love for religion again in college when he started studying bible stories again.
Dan shares some of the problems he sees in Christianity especially how its been politicized by the conservative movement in the States. He also shares how it was taken over by consumerism and how consumerism has conflicting values with what Jesus teaches.
We also have a discussion comparing religious experiences to psychedelic ones.
