Description

US/USSR relations are getting strange, love, and the Janssens are here to probe behind the red curtain in their analysis of Stanley Kubrick's 'Dr Strangelove' and Sidney Lumet's 'Fail Safe', a pair of twin films from 1964 both based on a terrifying cold war 'what if'. The only problem is, one is a revered satire of power and impotence, and the other plays its plot of mutually assured destruction totally straight.

But maybe the 'boring' movie deserves some attention, too - can 'Fail Safe' be rescued from its reputation as an unfunny version of 'Dr Strangelove'? Some truth bombs are gonna be dropped. TUNE IN COMRADES
