When Thai wasn't helping his family search for food, he and his friends would find old bullets from the war and make little rockets from their gun powder. The country was recovering and poor. Over Thai's lifetime, Vietnam made its comeback and the tourist industry boomed. Capitalizing on the opportunity, Thai built his career on showing people the real Vietnam.
