When you can’t find the “cancel subscription” button or the button that doesn’t add an unwanted extra to your bill, or you’re confused by double-negatives and weird questions, you might be encountering a “Dark Pattern”. It’s probably by design. Dark Patterns make lots of money for some very big businesses, but they betray a pretty galling lack of respect.
