Segment 1: What’s Happening Now
Y’all Drake dropped Nice For What just for me. I’m certain of it. Well, for you, too my sistas. And can we say it was glorious with the hot video to match featuring all of our faves from Tracee Ellis Ross to Issa Rae, Letitia Wright to Misty Copeland...it was serious! So many beautiful ladies being unapologetically free and I stan! Celebrating Cardi B on her new album and her baby announcement. Get it, girl! Couldn’t record without mentioning the epic dragging of Killer Mike by one of my faves, Joy Reid of MSNBC’s AMJoy. Oh and of course, the latest in the dumpster fire that is the Trump Administration. You don’t want to miss this sizzling hot segment.
Segment 2: Self-Care
Break out of the box! We gotta do it. We’ve been put in boxes by others and ourselves. Taken on labels that aren’t ours. Allowed limiting thinking or actions to keep us from being our truest selves and ultimately disrupting our journey. I’m giving you 4 steps to breaking out of the box. You want to make sure you have your pen and paper ready because we’re digging deep and getting to the core so we can get on our destiny-track.
Segment 3: Black Excellence
It’s National Poetry Month! So, of course, I’m using this time to spotlight my all-time favorite poet Maya Angelou. It’s not a game. She’s the GOAT and we must always honor her spirit, light, and work she shared with us when she was on this earth. Nothing but love! Oh and did I mention I’m reciting my favorite poem of hers, you gotta listen to find out which one it is.
