“Not sick enough to need help” - because you have good days that you “could” do the things, but you would pay for it and be unable to do anything the next day.
There are a lot of articles discussing how everyone has trouble asking for help. What sets disabled people apart is that we have to ask for help because we can’t do things for ourselves, and that we have to ask for help repeatedly.
