Notification of Discharge- should be given at least 48 hours prior to discharge
You are your best advocate, call your insurance company to verify benefits. It’s not always easy to navigate on your own, but you can also speak with your medical team because they can offer you some insight into your condition and why they feel discharge is necessary.
At an inpatient facility you should be given your bill of rights which lays out all of your rights as a patient during your stay. Be sure to read all the fine print as it is usually given on day of admission.
