• After receiving notice that it had some computer malware installed on its network, the United States Department of Commerce went on a spree of destruction to root out the problem . . . going so far as to destroy their computer printers, monitors, and mice! Over $170,000 worth of equipment was destroyed and they only stopped at that amount because they had run out of money and were waiting for a budget increase so they could destroy the rest of it. I guess no one told them a copy of Spybot was free.
• How to lose a job at a TV station. Posting fake Asian names for the pilots of the crashed Asiana flight. Way to stay classy there interns.
• Hey Florida? Do your lawmakers just not like computers and smartphones? Lawmakers once again show that they don’t know how the internet works in their rush to ban internet cafes.
• Millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened. Actually, something terrible has. A dumpster diving artist found a large number of discarded comic books that someone had thrown out and turned them into a life-sized paper mache sculpture of a man. The comics were later valued at $30,000 and included an Avengers #1. He sees nothing wrong with this proving that he is a complete idiot.
• Back to the world of Eve Online and its insanely expensive items. This week a player in the game lost a rarefaction supercarrier priced at nearly 9000 real-world dollars. I guess it’s time for him to start grinding those starting missions again.
• Be careful the next time you follow instructions given by the Emergency Broadcast System, as industry experts have discovered that it is surprisingly easy to hack!  Citizens may not even realize that they’re listening to a compromised message until it starts referencing all their base belonging to someone else.
