Description

Now here's something to consider. A book about saving the salmon population is being touted as a new business management tool.

The book is entitled "Stronghold: One Man's Quest to Save the World's Wild Salmon." and its written by Tucker Malarkey and the fact that this article never mentions that the book is written by Tucker and it focuses on the work her cousin, Guidi Rahr has completed is a bit odd. But I am giving her credit here as Business Insider did not mention the actual author….. Come on business publications - keep up!

Getting back to our story today

For threatened salmon habitats, the researcher adopted a strategy of saving and fortifying what was still right and intact in the salmon environments, reasoning that the costs of preservation were far lower (and the odds of success far higher) than trying to repair what was already lost. That strategy has since led to his life's mission of working to preserve the salmon-rich river systems of the American northwest

With a business mindset its the tactic of preserving the strength in your existing markets and keep them growing instead of trying to fix broken areas that take too much time and money to fix.

[Note: I wrote the copy for this mini-brief episode using the new fonts Lexent Exa and I found it super easy to read. As I record I do read ahead so I know where I am going (something I learned whilst playing the clarinet in high school) and it was a near perfect recording. Less edits. I urge you to try the new fonts as mentioned in my previous podcast here: https://shows.pippa.io/marketing-residency-with-jan-rossi/episodes/use-the-new-lexend-fonts-in-presentations

More marketing tips from me tomorrow - marketing, yes!
