Are you listening to the buzz about Facebook's billian dollar fine? Rightly so. If you think it's "ok" for a company to take your private data and do something else entirely with it - other than use it for security checks - you missed the whole point of the reason for the damages.
We all have privacy pages on our own websites now telling our readers what we are doing with their email addresses and more. Facebook violated this trust on many occassions - AFTER they said it would be corrected.
Look at your history on Facebook - your total dollar amounts spent over the years. With no customer service - the ability to call in and fix problems and stop erroneous charges - why do we continue to support a format that ignores us as customers?
If you are creative, you can STILL USE FACEBOOK with great success, but you can keep most of your ad money.
