In case you haven't noticed school has started for most people. I was talking to my sister this weekend (she's a 6th grade teacher) and she was telling me some of the exercises she had students do in sixth grade. They are just getting used to switching classes and there's lockers now they have to remember combinations you know all that new responsibility on kids comes with stress.

She had the kids do some quick exercises so they can start thinking for themselves - what do they want to accomplish this year? What makes them happy? What stresses them out? How do they deal with it?

I think we can all learn from this helpful routine weekly. Let's go back to elementary school and revisit. What is this quarter going to be like? What are we worried about? How do we handle that?

Great info - a reminder to be balanced and take care of ourselves. I especially applaud the teachers for helping these 6th graders develop into free thinking, smart, active young adults.

Best of luck with your tasks and your kids with new schools.

Jan ♥
