Recalls for the week:
- 2015-18 Porsche Macan Recalled for Airbag Issue - Dealers will replace the sensor mat and seat cushion for free.
- 4,700 Hyundai Ioniq, Kona EVs Recalled for Battery Fire Issue - Hyundai will notify owners beginning April 30. It does not yet have parts available for replacing the battery, so if you own one of the potentially affected Ioniq or Kona EVs, the automaker is advising you to park outside and away from structures until the interim repair is complete. That interim repair is to follow instructions to perform a battery update through the vehicle’s infotainment system or request a Hyundai dealer to provide the update. Once parts are available, dealers will replace the battery system assembly. All repairs will be performed for free.
- Kia Recalls 380K More Cars for Fire Risk- Until the repair is complete, owners are advised to park outside and away from structures as a precaution. To fix the issue, dealers will replace certain fuses in the electrical junction box. Vehicles equipped with an electronic parking brake will also receive a control unit software update. All repairs will be done for free, and the recall will begin April 30.
- 807K Nissan Sentras Recalled for Brake light Failure Issue - Dealers will replace the brake light switch and install a protective grommet for free.
