The COVID-19 pandemic is no closer to being over than it was six-months ago. There are several reasons for this including the emergence of the Delta-variant, vaccine hesitancy, breakthrough cases in those vaccinated, ongoing infections in the elderly, immunosuppressed, and those with various chronic conditions.
