Description

Computers and electronic devices brought countless advantages to the world, making human life easier in a lot of ways. A big part of the modern world was built by people seated behind a desk facing a monitor, and most jobs nowadays require long hours sitting in front of a screen. In addition to this established work style, the society of the spectacle we live in requires a passive attitude from the audience, comfortably seated on a couch. The negative side of a comfortable and entertaining life is sedentarism, eating disorders, poorly shaped bodies, and tons of magical recipes to lose weight. But the answer is not in miraculous techniques but in modifying our lifestyle, reframing the kind of people we want to be.

In this episode, I had a wonderful conversation with Nate Palmer, Trainer, Public Speaker, Fat Loss Ninja, and author of two published books, Passport Fitness, and The Million Dollar Body Method. We talked about the reasons why people find it hard to lose weight and to get in shape. He shared his unique perspective on tackling this from a different angle, reframing who we are. He kindly shared his top three tips for starting significant change and his viewpoint about carbohydrate consumption.

After a violent episode in his childhood, Nate embarked on a body transformation journey seeking muscles to feel more powerful. Surprisingly for him, what he found at the end of that path was a different result, confidence, self-esteem, and general positivity. He realized then the positive impact of committing to a goal and staying on course.
