Description

Most books about finances describe 9 to 5 jobs as prisons, as the rat race, as finance freedom's first enemy. But what about meaning? What if someone has a 9 to 5 job that makes them happy and still finds a shortcut right into financial independence while having a little margin and forgets a bit about chasing that dollar to survive?

In this episode, I enjoyed chatting with Dr. John Soforic, chiropractor and author of the bestseller book The Wealthy Gardener: Lessons on Prosperity Between Father and Son. His book was translated into six languages; it hit number 46 worldwide in Audible books, inspiring thousands of people to look at their finances differently.

John knew that if he tried to give his adult son financial advice, the chances of getting heard were low. He decided then to start writing a book in a collaborative effort with his son, debating and asking him to revise every chapter. John's plan worked perfectly. He managed to touch his son and thousands of people worldwide with his words and financial advice.

We talked about his motivation to write the book, the broad financial aspect it covers, and the factors to consider when we choose a career. He shared his thoughts on pursuing our passion, minding our incapacities and what we don't want or like to do, and the kind of livelihood a career offers.

Tune in to Episode 72 of Rejuvenaging, and listen to John's story of sacrifice, planning, commitment, and focus.
