Broderick Smith spent 13 years at Urban Visions; while Vice President of the business, Broderick oversaw the firm and its diverse portfolio of assets. With a thorough understanding of how a building functions from both an operational and financial standpoint, Broderick brought a strategic, holistic approach to the real estate entitlement, development, and management process. A believer in urban density, he has been involved in the acquisition, management, financing, entitlement, and disposition of many significant properties throughout downtown Seattle. Development of office and residential totaling over 1MM SF, and entitlement totaling over 3MM SF.
Broderick holds a finance degree from Santa Clara University, a Washington State Managing Brokers License, and is also a graduate from the University of Washington’s Commercial Real Estate Program. He currently serves as Board Chair for Seattle Goodwill Industries, and has previously served on the Boards of Forterra and the Metropolitan Improvement District. Broderick also recently joined the Board of a multi-state trucking business. He is currently enrolled in the CFA program, having passed Level 1 in June of 2019; he is currently a Level II candidate.
Being a sixth-generation Seattleite, Broderick has a passion for sustainability fostered by a deep-rooted appreciation for the environment. His main hobbies include fly fishing, skiing, and spending time with his wife and 3 boys.
Broderick recently relocated his family outside of Boise, Idaho. He is currently pursuing opportunistic investment and development within the Mountain West via a new firm, Silent Water Real Estate.
