This short episode is an important message for all of us. Don’t tune out – these ten minutes could save a friend, or maybe even yourself.
I know because I’ve experienced nearly every side of suicide.
It was World Suicide Prevention Day this week. Arguably, it should be every day.
The stats should shock you: suicide is the biggest killer of men under 50. In the UK, 125 men take their own lives every week. That’s one every 90 minutes.
But here’s something we don’t talk about enough – how many men think about it without ever acting. That’s a brutal existence. Almost impossible to escape. And when one man is stuck in that loop, the whole family is dragged into it.
Thinking about suicide is not normal. It’s a clear sign of mental health struggles. A healthy, happy mind doesn’t go there.
In this episode of The Jonnie Jensen Show I share some essential thoughts, personal experiences, and practical tips for helping yourself or those around you.
Do not ignore your mind. Do not hope it just goes away.
Don’t accept “I’m fine” when you know a mate is struggling. And if you catch yourself about to say “I’m fine,” stop. Tell the truth instead.
Please share this with other men who need to hear it.
