Description

In this episode, I interview Neil Jaffe, writer and co-produce of "Off the Record", which tells the stories of three survivors who sought justice against their perpetrators. Two of the survivors reported their abuse to law enforcement and criminal charges ensued. The third survivor filed a civil lawsuit for money damages against the religious commune in which he had been sexually abused as a child. In all three cases, the survivors were prevented from obtaining justice by fundamental flaws in the legal system. We discuss the impact of this and also discuss the concept of "justice" in general.
