Leigh Keates is a London-based hairstylist. He has contributed to industry publications like Elle France, Wonderland, L’Officiel, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, The Hunger Magazine, and Rollacoaster. Keates’s talents have made him a favourite with a wide range of celebrity clients such as Reneé Zellweger, Felicity Jones, Sarah Jessica Parker, Alicia Vikander, Florence Welch, Jessica Chastain and Dakota Johnson. Keates headed Fashion Week shows such as Each X Other and Gyunel Couture in Paris as well as Amanda Wakeley, Natasia Kiko, Christopher Raeburn and Emilio de la Morena, in London.
As an avid advocate for ocean conservation, Keates is also the founder of Thalassophy, a sustainable lifestyle brand using recycled ocean plastics and 100% fully traceable organic cotton.
Leigh's entrepreneurial spirit has seen him venture into a more recent passion project, PEACH. a restaurant in Hertfordshire that promotes eating local and seasonally where possible, it proudly offers dishes that generate free meals for local people in need, through a charity called Foodinate.
I had the pleasure of meeting Leigh at an Haircuts4Homeless event and was blown away by his empathy and drive. He is a very special human being and I'm sure you will be fascinated by his story.
