My podcast with Harry Barlow reveals what a very special human being he is. The previous builder now works with previous homeless and said to me "I used to rebuild houses and now I rebuild people."
He is a very busy center manager at the wonderful Emmaus Center in Mossley near Manchester.
Emmaus Mossley provides help to men and women who are experiencing homelessness by offering a home, work in a social enterprise and an opportunity to gain skills, confidence and training.
To join their community individuals have to commit to working full-time in their social enterprise but the rewards for doing so are great. They provide education, training and personal development to help people on their journey towards securing their own home.
