Description

Have you ever taken a shipwrecked sailor as your beautiful, Irish lover?

We haven’t, but boy would we like to.

That’s just one of the many awe-inspiring things Grace O’Malley, or Gráinne Ní Mháille, did in her staggeringly cinematic life.

Born in 1530s Ireland, Gráinne defied gender norms to establish a pirate empire, defy the English and take on Queen Elizabeth - with a dagger in her skirt, no less.

So find your windswept sailor, climb your ship’s mast and breathe in the fresh sea air.

Then hit play: we’re going on an adventure.
