This is a Melting Pot Limited series in collaboration with SGIFF. Today's episode is with Opera Tang, someone who has been making waves on the local drag scene in Singapore since her debut in 2020 with her striking Teochew opera-inspired makeup.
Opera's recent movie Baby Queen shares with the world Opera's queer journey through intimate glimpses into her private life, including her coming-out as a fledgling drag queen, falling in love, competing in drag pageants, and dressing up her supportive and adorable 90-year-old grandma in drag.
