Description

It took a while, but pro wrestling and the WWE in particular finally began to feel the wrath of the repercussions of COVID-19. On today's episode, Kaz speaks with acclaimed wrestling journalists Chris Van Vliet and Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet and FS1's WWE Backstage about the week that was. We speak at length about the fallout of "Black Wednesday" which saw dozens of beloved WWE Superstars released or furloughed from the company, the company being deemed an essential business in the state of Florida, as well as which talents can see this as a blessing in disguise by getting the opportunity to perform elsewhere. We also speak about what this means for All Elite Wrestling and if WWE's current plight will effect the new company long-term. AEW and NXT's Wednesday night war continued with an empty-arena World Title match between John Moxley and Jake Hager as well as NXT getting a shot in the arm with Timothy Thatcher, Malcolm Bivens and Karrion Cross.
