Four years ago, Amy Rodgers and nine of her friends sat together and filled bags with toiletry items for area homeless residents. Her heart was in it, but she didn't expect her heart to take the lead. As they say, one thing led to another, and now Amy is at the helm of The Backpack Project, a grassroots organization with a simple purpose: help make life on the streets a little more comfortable.
In this first episode of Heather Solves Everything, we will learn just how easy it can be to improve someone's life. One way - just see people. Ask what they need. Give it to them.
Over the years, Amy's plastic bags evolved into backpacks, t-shirts, and a bevy of volunteers. Will you be one of them? Listen and learn.
