The down and dirty today focuses on dating and new relationships at the holidays. We talk about when it’s appropriate to jump ship during the holidays and what’s expected in gift giving and family gatherings with a new partner.

Happy New Year from the How To Do Life team! We are trying not to get too excited, but we are certainly ready to celebrate it NOT being 2020 anymore.
Remember how we thought this year was going to be so grand? But, truly, remember also that Chryssy came back from Spain for our first show of 2020 with a warning. The universe had spoken to Chryssy and had not been nice. And Chryssy knew she was in for a lot of adversity in 2020. She just had no idea what it would look like or that everyone else would face it, too!
But a New Year is upon us, and, come what may, it’s an opportunity for optimism. Chryssy encourages us to look back at those magic moments in life. To spend a little time reflecting on first words of our babies, and first kisses. Remember getting your license and saying your vows with that special someone. Chryssy and Brian decide there is no other way to celebrate New Year’s Eve than with champagne. We spice it up by making it a poinsettia, which means adding some cranberry juice. We throw in a couple frozen raspberries for good measure. Today’s champagne comes from a can and packs a punch. We learn that one coke can is the size of half a bottle of wine. Who knew?
Since it’s New Years Eve, we talk about the year in review - the best and worst in parenting, navigating divorce, and life in general. Chryssy and Brian spend a good deal of time telling each other how great they are, so their New Year is off to a good start.
Brian has been begging Chryssy to do an "Ask Us Anything” episode forever, and she finally caved. It led to a spirited conversation about their friendship and the origins of this show. Champagne has gone to their heads and there is some pretty honest conversation fit for a real therapy session.
