Since the dawn of time, the act of building has been linked to the transmission of knowledge. And yet, three French personalities, still active until the summer of 2023, accidentally left us that summer. Their respective destinies intersected with transmission in its most emblematic forms. They are Jean-Louis Cohen, architect and historian, Jean-Louis Georgelin, military officer in charge of Notre-Dame de Paris, and Gérard Leclercq, a journalist who embodied a generation marked by "crazy intensity". This list could be extended by other well-known and lesser-known souls, for the summer of 2023 was a murderous one. Anne-Charlotte's aim is not to mourn, but to try and convey what these personalities embodied, and she has written a prose tribute to them.
