Security is a critical component of a direct sales business. It is vital to have a clear understanding of direct selling business architecture in order to be able to address and mitigate risks and threats that come from outside or inside the organization. A comprehensive security framework is needed that provides security measures for all levels within an organization's infrastructure. The starting point of this comprehensive framework is by controlling access to a direct sales organisation's assets such as physical or information assets with a role-based access control strategy.
