There are different types of business model and popular business model now companies adopting are direct selling and personal selling. Both the model have their own advantages and differences. Let's discuss some of them. 

Direct selling is the distribution of products and services through independent distributors. This type of business model is dependent on prior relationships and networks. The products are showcased on home parties, online platforms, workplaces, or other non-store locations. There are different types of direct selling such as single level marketing, multi-level marketing, home parties, online direct selling.  

Personal selling is a sales technique where the sales representative use interpersonal skills in a one-on-one interaction with the prospective customer. They are characterized by their personalized and consulting approach. They have their own built in space to receive feedback and adjustments. Example of personal selling includes real estate agents, luxury goods sales, technology solutions providers.
