I had a super insightful conversation with my lovely friend Annabel this week all about eating mindfully and healing holistically. The topic of health often becomes intertwined with toxic diet culture and a negative 'envisioned' body image, when we should be focusing on eating to nourish our bodies, and exercising to feel strong and positive. Annabel loves studying nutrition, and learning how feeding our gut wholesome nutrients directly influences our mentality. We also discuss the importance of making plant based eating more accessible and enjoyable so that an increased population can experience the wide ranging physical benefits, as well as contributing to collectively aiding our planetary health. Annabel reacted particularly badly to glandular fever during her gap year, and this inspired a deeper interest in health and wellness, as well as an investigation into holistic therapies, including; craneosacral therapy, reflexology and kinesiology. We finish the episode by discussing the importance of making sustainable lifestyle changes to allow healthy habits to remain truly present for the rest of our lives. We really hope you enjoy!
