Description

Two very contrasting performances for the Blues this week, as a promotion chaser is dispatched with an impressive performance at Brunton Park, while a trip to face a fellow struggler ends with a tired performance and no points.

In the latest episode of The Brunton Bugle, Dan and Lee look back on that impressive win over a very good Bristol Rovers side in Cumbria and the tired effort from the Blues in the defeat at Rochdale in midweek.

We also look ahead to the weekend trip to face promotion-chasing Tranmere Rovers, including a chat with Paul from the This Is Tranmere podcast about how Micky Mellon has got on in his first season back at Prenton Park and whether the club can earn a top-seven finish at the end of the campaign.

On top of all that, there's a round-up on how United's players out on-loan are getting on, a catch-up on the exploits of ex-Blues have in the last week and another question of the week from Mike for you to have a crack at.

Your host Lee Rooney is in Liverpool and is joined online by Dan MacLennan in Carlisle. You can find us on Twitter @bruntonbugle, Facebook (search for "Brunton Bugle") and email us with any questions, suggestions and feedback to bruntonbugle@gmail.com.
