Description

Have you ever thought of contacting an astrologer to have a reading but were you too skeptical about moving forward with it? When it comes to practices like astrology or tarot reading, there is still a lot of reluctance and suspicion about them, especially among people with a religious background. Growing up in a catholic Latino family, I was taught these practices shouldn’t be trusted. When I was finally able to have a reading myself, I realized that the negative connotation of these practices was just a myth. There are people on this plate who have been given the gift to see beyond our 3D reality and can genuinely help and support people in need.

Today’s guest, Yazamin Adibi, will tell us how her upbringing allowed her to pursue her gift, why she considers herself a love witch, and what her business Shadow and Light is all about.

Yazamin Adibi is an astrologer, artist, and witch. She's based in her hometown of Los Angeles, California. Yazamin is a first-generation Iranian-Mexican whose family has used art and divination for generations as a form of resistance. She grew up listening to her father's Islamic incantations that empowered a revolution. She also studied herbalism with her grandmother to support the mental health of low-income Latinos during the war on drugs. Yazamin grew up in a world where spirit creates reality. The intersection of spiritual and political liberation has always been synonymous to her. Currently, she continues the legacy of her ancestors via practicing Astrology sound, tarot movement, and witchcraft from a lens of activation and liberation.
