Description

Amy Robertson has eaten crow.

She is also a very successful businesswoman. Amy has climbed the ladder and at times, stepped on a few heads, but she always gets the job done. That was "pre-wake-up-call" Amy. "Post-wake-up-call" Amy is a different person.

Amy's crow is personal, yet she's willing to share it to help others - and that's what makes Amy amazing. When we prepped for this podcast she shared her story - it was raw and surprising...as a parent and as an executive.

Amy pivoted her life and career and is an example to anyone trying to balance work and family. She's now a business owner, wonderful wife and mother and is focused on helping others tackle the unknown and challenges of mental illness.

Amy's Eating Crow Moments:

  1. A revealing 360 showed her that despite her success she may have been leaving dead bodies on the side of the road.
  2. The moment when she realized her attention needed to be at home vs. work. And NOW.

Key Takeaways for Leaders and Entrepreneurs:

  1. Understanding the Ego/Empathy ratio (I'll let her explain, but it's brilliant).
  2. At times you need to clean the pantry - at work and at home.
  3. There is no formula for employee communication. Everyone is different and in a different place.
