Description

There's been a shift in how we talk about the private lives of others, and we're all for it -- with the backlash against the newspaper that "outed" Rebel Wilson fierce and game-changing.

Meanwhile, what's with the rise in threats of violence against female politicians? From NZ PM Jacinda Ardern to Australian Independent MP Dr Monique Ryan, there's been a sharp uptick in misogynistic threats.

Also this week, a win from government on women's workforce participation -- this time in NSW, where billions will be invested in childcare.

Plus, we speak to Wingee Sampaio, the global director of the Cartier Women's Initiative, to learn more about the global awards program.

We've partnered with Cartier Women's Initiative, to share more on the programs with our audience and get more great female-own businesses recognised and connected internationally.

The Initiative aims to drive change by supporting women impact entrepreneurs, by championing those thathave a social or environmental impact.

Eligible businesses must be for-profit, in the early stages of growth and meet one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

This year marks the program’s expansion with the creation of a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Award, open to all genders, and a new Regional Award, exclusively for founders and entrepreneurs from Australia and NZ. Applications are currently open until the end of the month for the 2023 edition.

Awardees will be granted up to $100,000 USD in funding, INSEAD enrolment, media visibility, tailored mentoring, international business exposure and will join a vibrant global community of experts, advisors and investors.
