Sharon Chuter, is the founder and CEO of UOMA Beauty, a cosmetics company that is rewriting the industry on inclusivity and diversity.
And business is absolutely booming, with demand for her products lifting and seeing the brand accelerate fast into the long-held spaces of the beauty brand giants.
Chuter, who was born and grew up in Nigeria and then spent a decade of her young adult life in Australia, tells host Shirley Chowdhary how she built the business and why, including her big move from the corporate world in order to follow what she saw as her purpose in redefining this industry.
"I wanted to create this space where everybody was proud to be themselves. I wanted to create this beautiful rebellion. And it was a rebellion of love. It was an uprising to actually go: we determine our worth," she says.
