This week's guest is Jo Windridge, Manager of the England and Wales Transplant Cricket Team. Jo's partner, Robin, received a kidney transplant in 2011 and she has been there for him all the way through the process.
Jo gives an insight into the transplant process and life after a transplant from the point of view of a partner and the impact that has on those around the person who received the transplant. She talks openly about the emotional effect of watching a loved one suddenly become ill, managing worry and the importance of talking to others who have been through similar experiences. She also describes how they taught their daughter about transplants so please stick around if you’ve got young children.
