Baio is the creative outlet for songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Chris Baio. He has released three records, most recently "Dead Hand Control" which arrived in January 2021 and is available now on vinyl and all music streaming services. He is also a member of indie/alternative group, Vampire Weekend.
We talk having his own creative space, recording straight off tour, growing into his singing voice, starting from concepts, song titles, "Dead Hand Control", writing around broader themes, nuclear anxiety, romance, breaking songs down technically, nine minute songs, referencing other artists, vocal effects, releasing songs in pairs, suits and how making albums helps cultivate happiness.
