The transfer window has shut after a summer where numerous new players joined Aston Villa and one major name left. Although Villa lost their talisman Jack Grealish to Man City, they invested heavily in the attacking areas, with the likes Emi Buendia, Leon Bailey and Danny Ings joining for big fees. Both Axel Tuanzebe and the versatile Ashley Young rejoined Villa, too.
The question now is whether Villa have done enough? What is the overall aim for this season? Did the club miss out by not signing another CDM, or does it provide the likes of Carney Chukwuemeka and Jacob Ramsey more room to grow as players?
