There’s no doubt about it, it’s been a pretty tough weekend for Liverpool fans as the Reds succumbed to a first defeat since April in London to West Ham.
But, despite the 3-2 defeat, there’s still plenty to be positive about despite what Liverpool Twitter may have to say.
Luke, Max and James are here to discuss all the fallout for the game with much of it focusing on some pretty insane overreactions on social media.
After a bit of a rant about the state of some online supporters, we delved a bit deeper into the result including taking a look at the game’s two biggest talking points. Plus we mused the issues surrounding Liverpool’s midfield and the seeming inability to control games at the moment.
The difficulties Liverpool found in transition were also discussed and we wondered whether the Reds were missing a certain Gini Wijnaldum to tie things together in the middle of the park.
As the international break provides an interruption in club football we looked ahead to our next match against Arsenal later this month and Steven Gerrard’s imminent return to the Premier League as Aston Villa manager.
